Competition of Innovations in Education

A competition for innovations in education for instructors, entrepreneurs, students and everyone who is interested in education.

The finals of the Competition of Innovations in Education will take place as part of the #EdCrunch 2017 international conference on new educational technologies for the third year in a row. The competition is organized by the HSE University’s Institute of Education and the Rybakov Foundation with support from the Agency for Strategic Initiatives.

The competition welcomes independent developers and small teams who can bring forward innovative ideas in the area of education — from IT-applications to methodologies. 2632 projects from Russia and 35 other countries have participated in the competition for the 4 years of its existence.

628 applications from 150 cities and 18 countries were submitted in 2017. 30 teams that completed the preliminary stage took part in the Summer School, a short-time accelerator, whose results allowed the jury to select 16 teams for the finals.

Traditionally the top award of the competition is the so-called TRAVEL GRANT for presenting the project at any place of the world and getting familiar with international educational innovations. Every year leading educational and business institutions along with non-profit organizations that support the development of innovative projects act as the partners of the competition.
