Professional experiences: she worked as a pedagogista for the Municipality of Reggio Emilia since 1978. She was member of the Pedagogical Coordinating Team of the Istituzione - Preschools and Infant Toddler Centres of the Municipality of Reggio Emilia until 2015.
She coordinated the Documentation and Educational Research Centre of the Municipality of Reggio Emilia (1994-2009).
She was referent for the Exhibition “The hundred languages of children” and now she is one of the curators of the new version of the Exhibit "The Wonder of Learning. The Hundred Languages of Children".
She also coordinated the professional development activities for teachers and atelieristas of the infant-toddler centres and preschools.
From 2011 to 2015 she was pedagogical supervisor of Officina Educativa, the department of the Municipality of Reggio Emilia that work with the compulsory school (6-14 years)
During her professional experience, she participated as speaker in several conferences and seminars in Italy and abroad, presenting the experience of the infant-toddler centres and preschools of the Municipality of Reggio Emilia.
Tiziana Filippini participated in the research group part of the research project done through a collaboration between Reggio Children and Harward - Making Learning Visible - that then became a book very well known in North America but also all over the world.
During these last years periodically she went to the Cambridge area in Boston for professional development initiatives connected to Harvard University and Wheelock College.
After her retirement, she continues to collaborate with Reggio Children for professional development initiatives in Italy and abroad.
